Happy Monday everyone! I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend! I wasn’t feeling great over the weekend so we did a whole lot of nothing, which was nice after being gone for a week! As much as I love traveling out of the country, there are so many breath-taking, incredible places throughout the United States. I’ve been on two cross-country road trips & visited over half of the states. I’ve compiled the top 12 destinations in the US that I feel should be on everyone’s travel bucket list & I listed my absolute favorite things to do in each place. Comment & tell me YOUR favorite spots in the US & why!

MALIBU, CA
Probably my favorite place in the world! Drive down the Pacific Coast Highway, check out Zuma, Point Dume, or El Matador Beach (pictured below), have lunch at Malibu Cafe or Paradise Cove, & enjoy a wine tasting at Malibu Wine Safaris.

BIG SUR, CA
Also along the Pacific Coast Highway & absolutely breath-taking. Check out Bixby Creek Bridge (pictured below) & McWay Falls.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA
Such a beautiful city with so much to do. Take in the Golden Gate Bridge from Marin Headlands (pictured below), Baker Beach, or Fort Point. Enjoy clam chowder out of a bread bowl in Fisherman’s Wharf. Ride a cable car & take in views of the Coit Tower, the San Francisco Bay, & Alcatraz. Drive or walk down Lombard Street.

COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE, HOOD RIVER, OR
Stunning & so peaceful. Visit Multnomah Falls, Oneonta Gorge, & Bridal Veil Falls.

SEDONA, AZ
Surrounded by red rocks, Sedona is an artsy, unique & beautiful resort town. Don’t miss the Cathedral Rock hike (pictured below).

ANTELOPE CANYON, PAGE, AZ
Book a tour of the Lower Canyon in advance & get ready for a once in a lifetime experience.

SANTA FE, NM
A super unique, cozy, & cute town. Walk around the Plaza (city center) & shop from local artists & vendors.

NEWPORT, RI
The most picturesque coastal town. Walk around the downtown area for shopping & lunch, tour The Breakers (Vanderbilt mansion), & be sure to check out the Cliff Walk.

SOUTH BEACH, MIAMI, FL
It’s no secret I love South Beach! The energy & excitement of Ocean Drive is unparalleled. Have drinks & lunch on Ocean Drive, relax on the beach, shop at Lincoln Road Mall, & enjoy a nice dinner at Juvia or Byblos.

CHICAGO, IL
It’s also no secret how much I love Chicago, especially during the summertime! Go on an Architecture Boat Tour, have lunch & drinks in River North, check out the Lincoln Park Zoo (free admission!), & walk around Wicker Park.

CHARLESTON, SC
Walk or drive down Rainbow Row (pictured below), check out Waterfront Park & The Battery, & then head over to King Street for shopping & lunch. While there are so many good restaurants to choose from, my favorites are Little Jack’s Tavern, The Darling Oyster Bar, Leon’s, & The Ordinary.

WASHINGTON, DC
Last but certainly not least, our nation’s capital. If you’ve never been, of course you shouldn’t miss the White House, Capitol, Washington Monument, & National Mall. Other than that, my favorite places are the US Botanic Garden, Smithsonian American Art Museum, & Renwick Gallery. Then head to Georgetown for shopping & treats (Georgetown Cupcake, Baked & Wired).
