I recently went to Nantucket, MA for the first time & even though we only spent 48 hours there, I fell in love! It’s such a cute, quaint island town. We took the high speed ferry from Hyannis Port over to the island. Once we arrived, we walked a short 3 blocks to check into The Veranda House, a Nantucket Resort Collection hotel. The hotel was in the perfect location, just a few blocks from town, and newly renovated. We had a really nice king room on the 3rd floor and the only downside was no elevator. On our first night, we walked around downtown shopping and then had dinner at Cru. We got a table by the water and both enjoyed lobster rolls.
The next morning, we walked to Corner Table Cafe and waited in line for coffees and breakfast. Then we walked to Brant Point Lighthouse, about a half mile from town. From there, we decided to make a reservation online for the Whaling Museum. I really enjoyed walking around and exploring the museum. Afterwards, we grabbed lunch at Or, The Whale and then ice cream from The Juice Bar. Lunch was great and the ice cream was delicious! We walked around town some more, checking out the cute clothing shops, bookstores, and unique gift shops. Later that night, we had dinner at Dune. It was absolutely amazing, the best meal we had on the island!
The next morning we grabbed breakfast at Lemon Press, which was great, and then headed back on the ferry. It was a quick 48 hours in Nantucket, MA but super fun overall, and I can’t wait to go back. I highly recommend getting breakfast at Lemon Press, dinner at Dune, and ice cream from The Juice Bar if you’re on the island!
