During the summer I decided to plan a fall foliage road trip to Vermont for late Sept/early Oct. It had become apparent that we wouldn’t be able to travel outside of the US for our 2 year wedding anniversary (October 13th!). I’ve always wanted to explore New England during the fall but never had the opportunity. Tristan went to college in Burlington, VT and the only time I’ve been is during the winter. Temps were in the negative so I could hardly enjoy it at all. We decided to start the trip in Burlington and work our way down the state, staying in Stowe, Woodstock, and Manchester, before ending our trip in Boston. Below I’m sharing everything you need for the PERFECT fall road trip!
I’m so excited to stay in cozy inns and B&Bs. We are staying at Hotel Vermont in Burlington, The Lodge at Spruce Peak in Stowe, 506 On the River Inn in Woodstock, and the Barnstead Inn in Manchester. All of the rooms have a fireplace and beautiful view. I’ll put together a post after our trip with my reviews of each plus the rest of our itinerary!
For now, I wanted to link everything I packed for both Tristan and myself. It took me a few months to build the perfect autumnal wardrobe for each of us. Trends that I’m loving this fall are over the knee boots, sweater dresses, corduroy pants (for both Tristan and I), and pinafore dresses in shades of orange, yellow, burgundy. Stay tuned for MANY outfit photos along the way!
In addition to our outfits, I’ve also linked other miscellaneous items that I packed. We’ve got cozy blankets, a picnic basket, fall mugs, and a few others. We’ll be driving through forests, state parks, and down country roads, so we plan to stop for picnics & coffee breaks along the way!
Check out everything you need for the perfect fall road trip below. Comment and tell me what’s on your fall bucket list this year!
