Happy Saturday! My favorite kind of weekend is one where we get to relax, spend time at home, wake up when we want to, enjoy a cup of coffee on the couch, cook a good meal, and just hang out. I love traveling and being busy, but you really can’t beat a quiet, relaxing weekend. On the weekends that we are in town, we always have date night out either Friday or Saturday and we cook at home the other night. We love to try the newest hot spots in Charlotte, which is easy with a few popping up every week. With Valentine’s day coming up this Wednesday, I wanted to share my favorite date night spots in Charlotte for the perfect, romantic outing. Customshop
Neighborhood: Elizabeth
We love the cozy vibes and candlelit atmosphere at Customshop and the food is always exceptional.
O-Ku
Neighborhood: South End
We tried O-Ku right after it opened and it’s been one of my favorite South End spots ever since. There sushi is so fresh and delicious (my favorite roll is the Kiwi Roll) and they have awesome cocktails and great vibes. Pro tip: Make a reservation or get there right at 5pm when they open to get a table or spot at the sushi bar!
Co
Neighborhood: Montford
Co is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Charlotte. We go here once every other week. I LOVE their dumplings, mango summer rolls, and the Curry Laksa – one of my favorite dishes EVER. Plus, they have great cocktails too!
Dinner at Co is always followed by gelato at Va Da Via or cookies at Suarez Bakery (best bakery in Charlotte!)
Dogwood Southern Table
Neighborhood: SouthPark
Dogwood is a special occasion, celebratory dinner spot for us. We’re actually going there for our Valentine’s date on Wednesday night and the last time we went was for my birthday.
Copper
Neighborhood: Dilworth
Best Indian food in Charlotte! It’s in an update historic home in Dilworth with the coziest, cute vibes. We love their samosas and chicken tikki masala and garlic naan! Definitely one of our go-to date spots!
Dilworth Tasting Room
Neighborhood: Dilworth
We love Dilworth Tasting Room for wine (by the glass or bottle), a good appetizer or selection of small plates. They have the best charcuterie in Charlotte, yummy flatbreads, bruschetta, and desserts! Their cute garden area in the back is perfect for a spring or fall afternoon or evening.
Fahrenheit
Neighborhood: Uptown
Located above Skye Condos and the Hyatt Place Hotel in Uptown, Fahrenheit easily has one of the best rooftops in Charlotte. We love the firepits and view and the excellent food makes it the perfect date night restaurant, especially at sunset.
