Here is my France Flashback Part 2: French Riviera! Our France trip was over Labor Day 2017. If you missed Part 1, you can check it out HERE.
The majority of our trip was spent in the French Riviera, staying at an airbnb in Cannes. We explored nearby Antibes and St Tropez as well. We took a train from Paris to Cannes (5.5 hours and a beautiful view the entire time!) Our airbnb was in the heat of Le Suquet, the old quarter of Cannes, and I absolutely fell in love with that area. The cobblestone streets were alive with people. It was such a cozy vibe. We walked around the streets at night, and enjoyed pasta and seafood at some of the sidewalk restaurants for dinner. On our first day in Cannes, we had lunch at Cristal Beach, a beach restaurant/bar.
One day we took a train over to Antibes (only 8 minutes away!) We had lunch at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc – amazing view, incredible seafood, and the most beautiful hotel pool I’ve ever seen. It is pricey but also a once in a lifetime experience. We hiked the rocky Cap D’Antibes coastline after lunch. It’s a little over 3 miles and fairly easy, and definitely the most beautiful hike I’ve ever done in my life! Do NOT miss this if you visit Antibes!
We spent one day in St Tropez (a short ferry ride from Cannes). We spent the afternoon eating seafood and sipping rosé at Nikki Beach St Tropez. They have all you can eat brunch buffet. I wished we could have explored St Tropez a little more. I would love to go Monaco, Nice, and a few other towns in the South of France next time.
