I love green juice & since I got my own juicer back in April, I’ve tried hundreds of juice variations. My juicer is this one by Hamilton Beach, only $69.99. I wanted to share my Juicing 101: Recipes for Beginners.
For me, drinking my greens in juice is a lot less painful than eating a ton of veggies. I like spinach but do I want a spinach salad? Not really. Do I taste it when it’s in a juice along with a cucumber, apple, & carrots? Nope. I’m also not a huge cucumber fan, but I love the sweetness it adds to a green juice.
Some of the benefits of juicing daily are:
- Glowing skin
- Improved digestion
- Strengthened immune system
- Hydration
- Weight loss
- Increased energy
When you first start juicing you may experience side effects like nausea or irritability but don’t worry – that’s just your body detoxing! Below are 3 of my favorite recipes that are perfect for beginners.
Tip #1: Always wash your fruits & vegetables thoroughly beforehand.
Tip #2: Always remove the core & seeds from your apple before juicing
These are 3 of my favorite juicing recipes for beginners & once you get used to juicing, you can start mixing & adding ingredients. I like to add cayenne pepper, kale, beet root, or swiss chard occasionally. Always start with cucumber or apple as a base (they produce the most liquid), add a handful of either spinach, kale, collards, or swiss chard, and then add additional ingredients from there.
