I’m so excited to finally reveal our modern glam living room! In case you missed it, we bought our first home & moved to Richmond, VA last November. All about our move can be found HERE!
We’ve worked so hard since moving in to accomplish small projects one at a time & add little touches here & there. We already owned this beautiful blue couch so I used it as the starting point for the room. The gold coffee table & end tables from West Elm added the perfect glam touch. I purchased all new pillow covers from West Elm. They inserted pops of color to the couch (pink, light blue). I have an obsession with coffee table books so I stocked up on new ones from Amazon, including…

A few more glam touches were the gold vases, mini rose gold picture frames, and the gold link sculpture. I also wanted a few ‘boho’ elements. The white bunny tails, rattan tray, and woven baskets were perfect. We waited until the room had pretty much come together to decide on paint colors. Tristan painted the wall a beautiful dark blue a few weeks ago. Tristan had the brilliant idea to paint the ceiling squares so we picked a lighter shade of blue on the same spectrum as the wall and he did that this past weekend. The room was completely transformed with the wall color and ceiling squares. It finally feels (somewhat) complete… the vibe is cozy, inviting, modern, a little glam, and a little boho.
The last two projects we hope to do in the next 6-12 months will be hanging a pendant light (we will need an electrician) & adding built-ins. We have a beautiful Samsung Frame TV on the wall (not pictured below) & we want to build our own shelves & cabinets around it. If you have any DIY built-in tips, suggestions, or ideas, PLEASE share!
