We spent the perfect weekend in Richmond, VA at the Graduate hotel. I went to VCU and graduated in 2012. I love going back to visit and try to go once a year. It holds a special place in my heart. It was great to catch up with friends and be back there.
We loved the Graduate hotel & would highly recommend it. They had good service, really nice rooms, it was reasonably priced, had a great rooftop restaurant/bar, & a little coffee/breakfast bar in the lobby. On Friday night we went to Star-lite for drinks and late night snacks.
On Saturday, we had brunch at Lulu’s (make a reservation!) & it was absolutely delicious. After brunch, we went to Blue Bee Cider and did a cider tasting. It is a super cute place. All of the ciders are so different and I love tasting various ones. We went to Buskey Cider & Three Notch’d Brewery as well.
We headed back to the hotel & spent the afternoon at the Byrd House, the rooftop bar at the Graduate hotel. There’s a great view, plenty of comfy seating, good snacks, & the best frosé. We went to L’opossum for dinner, which came highly recommended. We were actually not impressed. The restaurant is decorated nicely and has great vibes but the service was lacking. Their food was decent but it did not wow us.
On Sunday, we had brunch at Lucy’s and loved it. They don’t take reservations so we put our name on the list and went next door to Saadia’s Juicebox. We grabbed a coffee and fresh juice at Saadia’s. It is probably the cutest coffee/juice shop I’ve ever seen! The decor was absolutely adorable.
That concludes our perfect weekend in Richmond, VA! I already miss it and can’t wait for our next trip!
