One thing I swear by is starting your day with a superfood smoothie! It’s filling, provides the vitamins and nutrients you need to start your day, and gives you energy to last until lunch. Since I started drinking superfood smoothies for breakfast instead of eating oatmeal, eggs, yogurt, granola, etc., I’ve seen so many health improvements, including weight loss, clearer skin, stronger immune system, and more energy. Green leafy vegetables, berries, and seeds are the best superfoods on the planet, and they are delicious together! I’m sharing my recipe for the superfood smoothie I drink every day below. The blender I use is the KitchenAid Classic 5-Speed that I’ve had for almost 3 years and love! If you try the recipe, comment and let me know what you think! Superfood Smoothie Recipe:
- 1 Cup of Almond Milk
- 1 Frozen Banana (freeze the night before)
- Handful of Spinach and/or Kale
- Handful of Blueberries and/or Strawberries and/or Raspberries
- 1 Pitted Date
- 1 Tablespoon of Peanut Butter (I use Skippy Natural Creamy Peanut Butter)
- Hemp Seeds, Milled Flax Seeds, OR Chia Seeds
OPTIONAL:
- 1 Scoop of Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides (Strengthens hair, skin, and nails, and improves digestion)
- 1 Scoop of Chocolate-Flavored Protein
- 1/2 Cup of Cold Brew (I use Califia Farms)
