It’s been a super long week & I am ready for a relaxing, low-key weekend, before my bachelorette party in Miami next weekend! I wanted to share some updates on wedding planning with part 2: details. In case you missed it, check out Wedding Planning Part 1: Venue Scouting!
We went to Knoxville & Pigeon Forge last weekend to do a cake tasting, food tasting, meet with our florist, and do a final walk-through at the venue. It was a super productive (& overwhelming) weekend. I feel like everything is going to fall into place perfectly come wedding weekend!
Vendor Meetings:
We drove straight to Knoxville on Friday morning & went to the cake bakery, Magpies. I found them on The Knot as one of the top bakeries in Knoxville & they have not disappointed. We tasted 6 different flavors & landed on two (not going to share, it’s a surprise!)
Our next stop was a meeting with our florist, LB Floral. Since I first starting planning back in October of last year, the floral has been the one thing I’m the MOST excited about. There is going to be a TON of flowers and greenery. Lesley has gotten my vision since day 1 and I can’t wait to see it all come together.
Our third stop was Rosa’s Catering, where we got to taste every singe course, including the special dish we requested for our rehearsal dinner. It was a wonderful meal & really got us thinking about our final selections.
We spent Saturday exploring Pigeon Forge, checking out The Apple Barn & Cider Mill, one of the cutest places. There’s an ice cream shop, winery, gift shop, and they have the most amazing apple pies, dumplings, & cider! We also did a moonshine tasting at Old Forge Distillery.
Final Walkthrough:
Sunday morning we went to The Magnolia for our final walk-through with my wedding planner. Every time we go, I’m in complete awe of how beautiful the view and the property is. I can’t wait to say ‘I do’ there! It’s magical, even in the rain, fog, heat, etc. While we were there this time, we saw a little black bear! I was absolutely terrified but Tristan thought it was pretty cool.
Please comment below & give me wedding planning/marriage advice!! I love hearing from you all! Have an amazing weekend!
